A range of security products from Chinese manufacturers will be on display at the China Sourcing Fair to be held in Mumbai, November 23-25. This trade show will be co-located with several other events including a fair on electronics, home and bathroom products.

The security product industry is in a high-growth stage in India, fueled by the boom in the country’s high-value residential property and commercial property markets and its retail industry. The country has also faced several security threats in the past few years- with the recent serial bomb blasts in Mumbai being the latest example- which has led to greater need for video surveillance. Major metros in the country, including Mumbai, are now aggresssively pushing for installation of CCTV cameras. The number of CCTV cameras in these cities as a proportion of their population is fairly low, compared to several other large cities across the world.

The China Sourcing Fair will be followed by another important security trade show in India, IFSEC.
